Today we awake in Los Cristianos on Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands. The boys play golf at Ritz Carlton Abama while the girls tender into town. We set out with maps in hand to find a restaurant we have chosen for lunch, enjoying the sights along with way.
We stroll by a busy beach.

There is sand art.

There are men playing a serious game of bocce.

There are people taking shade under a most unusual and beautiful tree.

And there are people taking rest under a sign I suspect they did not stop to read.

As we ascend the hill to the restaurant we pass innumerable hotels, cafes, shops and restaurants but we remain determined to find only the chosen one.

Finally, there is the restaurant … a sight for sore eyes (and feet).

A recurring name in the Michelin Guide, El Rincon del Arroz is rustic and cozy and delivered an authentic seafood paella that one could only experience when on a Spanish island.

We meet the boys at the tender to return onboard and have dinner overlooking the town.

After dinner, the Bali Beds await for us to sleep under the stars as we sail away from Tenerife.
